Persian geometric patterns merge with Indian and Chinese patterns and vice versa, and also merge with the mist. This is a reference to the cultural mixing that took place when goods, including silk, but also knowledge, ideas, cultures and beliefs were exchanged between travelers along the ancient Silk Roads.

In 2025 and the An Infant city project, we pay particular attention to children (infants) who are open and enthusiastic (open mouth in wonder) about new things. Of particular interest here is the magical phase of early childhood when the power of the imagination overrides the distinction between truth and lies. We all know the vehemence with which children try to convince us of something and we know (as adults) about the persuasive power of narrative and belief in something.
The focus here is on the current issues of a fluid and fragile society, on vulnerable groups and people big and small who ask us questions. It is also about taking stock of an urban hotspot in Berlin with all its different social manifestations.
The artistic act is an expression of pause and reflection, of social cohesion, solidarity and protest.
